Okay So I'm gearing up to do my first Pocket mod. I've done a DMG backlight/bivert, a GBA front light and a GBA/AGS-101 mod. I have both a new Funnyplaying IPS kit SP and a couple of AGS101s. Between the two, if you compare the default brightness of the IPS to the 101 at the bright setting they aren't that far off, with 101 being a tad brighter. They aren't that much different though and I actually prefer the 101 screen, all you're really getting is less ghosting. Looks great! Personally I think it's the way the agb should have been released, then the one and only release of the sp could've been the 101. But, at least now we can go back and change history with these mods. 😉
